In Sakura Wars, players aren’t just fighting demons. They’re also trying to help the Imperial Combat Revue Flower Division restore its reputation. That means you’ll also be fighting with people who are on the same side as you in the Sakura Wars Combat Revue World Games. This is a single-player competitive element where the troupe from Japan tries to show their worth when fighting other Combat Revues from around the world. A new trailer shows exactly how it works.
Now, since this is a single-player game, the Sakura Wars Combat Revue World Games are a solo tournament where Seijuro Kamiyama, your avatar, and two other members of the Flower Division join you in a best-of-three match against three people from an opposing division. Berlin, London, and Shanghai’s are all participating. You earn points for destroying targets, hoping to be the side with the highest score when the round ends.
Here’s a Sakura Wars Combat Revue World Games trailer showing exactly how these tournaments will work.
Also, here are some screenshots showing this tournament in action.
Sakura Wars will come to the PlayStation 4 on April 28, 2020, and preorders will net people free costumes. You can also find out more about its story in one of its first English story trailers.
