Sega revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 features Knuckles. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
To be more precise, it is Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This was originally available in the Sega Genesis when inserting Sonic 2 into the Sonic & Knuckles cart.
In addition to Knuckles, Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has the Drop Dash ability from Sonic Mania. Time Attack Mode also has online rankings for this version.
Additionally, it has extra features included in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2Â such as the well-received Ring Keep Mode. It also has Super Sonic Mode that lets you start out with all 7 Chaos Emeralds.
Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2Â is in development for Nintendo Switch. The game was announced in September 2018 but Sega has yet to announce a release date. Check out additional details and screenshots in our previous report.
