Sega Ages’ Sonic 2, Columns II, Out Run, Thunder Force AC Gets New Info And Screenshots

Sega recently announced Columns II, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Out Run, and Thunder Force AC for Nintendo Switch’s Sega Ages lineup, and information on those games have been revealed on the official Sega Ages website. Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Sonic Mania’s Drop Dash ability will be added to the Sega Ages version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, just like Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog. Online rankings for Time Attack Mode are also being added.

Additionally, all the extra features added in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2, like the well-received Ring Keep mode and Super Sonic Mode where you start with all 7 Chaos Emeralds, will be present in this version.

Sega Ages Out Run will have 60fps and widescreen support, as well as the two new BGMs added for the Nintendo 3DS version, “Cruising Line” and “Camino a Mi Amor”. Even more BGMs will be added to this version. Gyro controller support has been added as well, so you can control it in a similar fashion to the arcade version.

Furthermore, the tuning up feature added to the Nintendo 3DS version will be included. You can customize cornering, engine, tire, and bumper parts to change your car’s specs.

Sega Ages Columns II adds online versus to the table of versus options, besides the inbuilt offline versus options, which can also be enjoyed in the Switch’s Tabletop Mode.

While the game is known for its punishing puzzle difficulty, this version of Columns II adds in a lower difficulty option for those who want to have a higher chance of beating the game.

 

Sega Ages Thunder Force AC

The Nintendo Switch Sega Ages version of Thunder Force AC adds in a score attack mode for every difficulty, Normal Mode-specific Score Attack mode, and more. The game also includes the “KIDS Mode” that was originally included in the Sega Saturn’s Thunder Force: Gold Pack 2, and the obvious autofire option.

Sega Ages Thunder Force AC on Nintendo Switch will also have exclusive extra features! More details will be revealed later.

 

No release dates have been revealed for the games. Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Columns II, Out Run, and Thunder Force AC are coming to Nintendo Switch.
