D3 Publisher announced a new spinoff title called Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shooter, an upcoming shoot ‘em up title developed by Clouds and Giga Rensya. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

The game is a spinoff of Earth Defense Force 4.1 that tells us what happened behind the scenes of the main story. It offers over 60 different weapons, it’ll also be fully voiced and comes with close-ranged weapons. We’ll also see over 100 monsters on the screen at a time.

Earth Defense Force 4.1: Wing Diver the Shooter releases in Japan in Fall 2017 as a digital title on PlayStation 4 for 2,980 yen.
