For those unfamiliar with Mochi A Girl, think a hybrid of Umihara Kawase and Ristar, where the focus is to go through linear stages using a mochi wire to swing around. Every major action is performed with just the A button, and it’s a casual game without game overs.

The eShop page also explains a bit more about the game, including that the mochi-like main character is named Yuki, and her rival is Mugi. There are a total of 60 stages to complete, and 63 common and zany types of sushi to collect. There are also boss battles to complete against Mugi and other cute characters.

Mochi A Girl is now available to preload via the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop. The game is so far exclusive to Nintendo Switch. You can check out the trailer and game music in our previous post here.
