Octopath Traveler’s release is about a month away and producer Tomoya Asano, division executive at Square Enix, said in an interview that there is more on the way for the console.

While speaking to Game Informer, Tomoya Asano, who is known as the Bravely series producer, revealed that the Octopath Traveler team became its own division in April and they’ll be focusing on Switch. He said, ”Square Enix has decided that it wants to focus on original titles for the Switch. If Octopath Traveler does well and this is something that appeals to fans, we want to focus on Switch. Please pick up the Switch if you want to play games like Octopath Traveler.”

When asked if Square Enix’s future on the platform is contingent upon the success of Octopath Traveler, Asano clarified, “There are several other titles that we’re currently working on for Switch,” he says. “If you could just wait a bit longer, we’ll work with Nintendo and announce them in the future.”

Previously, Tomoya Asano was part of Square Enix’s Business Division 6, where he worked as a producer on the Bravely games as well as Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.

While no timetables were shared for the future announcements, there’s a chance we might hear something about one of them during Nintendo’s E3 2018 Direct presentation.
