Famitsu shared a few more screenshots of Persona 4: Arena’s console story mode. Before we get to those, take a look at the main menu. The options look pretty similar to Arc System Works’ BlazBlue games… wait a second… underneath Network Mode Persona 4: Arena has Contents Market. That sounds like a downloadable content shop, but what kind of items can Atlus sell? Perhaps, looking at what Arc System Works did with BlazBlue can give us an idea. BlazBlue games have extra character colors, system voice packs, souped up "unlimited" characters, and brand new characters available as DLC. I’d be up for more characters maybe even non-canon cameos from older Persona titles.

New screenshots of Persona 4: Arena’s story mode shows Yu returning to Inaba. When he turns on the Midnight Channel he’s surprised to see his friends, now third year high school students, acting strange.

Persona 4: Arena comes out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 2. Atlus announced they will release the game in North America this summer.
