First, each of the four main cast members in Tales of Arise will have a unique character technique. This will come in the form of a special combat skill. While previous Artes are still available in Tales of Arise, these new skills are arguably much flashier than standard attacks. A total of four videos have been released, one for each of the currently revealed cast members. You can watch these videos below.

First, here’s Alphen’s character technique.

Next, here’s Shionne performing her special attack.

This is Rinwell’s video.

Finally, here’s Law’s Character Technique.

Previously, Bandai Namco detailed the Chain Artes, Boost Attack, and Boost Strike system. The Boost Strike system is an entirely new addition to the Tales of series formula, which allows players to perform unique duo attacks once certain conditions have been met. However, standard Artes will be making a return, specifically Demon Fang and Gale Thrust.

Tales of Arise will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on September 9, 2021 in Japan. The Western release will arrive on September 10, 2021.
