New information was revealed for Team Sonic Racing this week, including the story premise, and a closer look at Team Vector members Silver the Hedgehog, Blaze the Cat, and Vector the Crocodile. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Ice Mountain – New course
A beautiful circuit encased in ice. This medium-difficulty course has ice pillars scattered around that you must swerve around, and slippery areas where you should take care not to fall off.
Team Sonic Racing has an original story where you can see the various characters interact. The story is broken up into Chapters, and each chapter has several challenge missions to clear, such as Survival Races, Ring Races where you compete over how many rings you can collect within a time limit, and more.
By completing stages and chapters, you will unlock new characters and custom parts for race cars, which can be used outside of Adventure Mode as well. Furthermore, you can play Adventure Mode with friends in co-op.
One day, Sonic and his friends receive a mysterious invitation for a Grand Prix Race. While Sonic and the others were suspicious of the fishy invitation, out of the blue Dodonpa, the mysterious being hosting the tournament, appeared to challenge Sonic to prove that he was the fastest.
The requirements for joining Dodonpa’s Grand Prix includes using his personally provided race cars, and that participants need to join as a 3-person team. Despite knowing that the Grand Prix could be a trap, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles form Team Sonic, and joined the race.

A challenge mission where you collect as many rings as possible in a limited amount of time. You can extend your time limit by collecting more rings, so try to collect as many as you can in a row.
A challenge mission where you collect as many points as possible by drifting through Star Posts. There are red and yellow ones, and red ones are worth more points, but is more challenging.
Online & Offline modes
Get as many points as possible while playing through four courses in a row. There are 7 Grand Prix in a row, and each one has Normal, Hard, and Expert difficulties. You can choose Team Grand Prix and Single Grand Prix.
Choose your favorite course, and freely customize your racing rules, like how many rivals you have, difficulty, amount of laps, item settings, and more.
What it says on the tin. Race for the best time by using White Wisps effectively, and aim for the top of the leaderboard! You can race against ghosts of top players around the world.
Team Sonic Racing will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Winter 2018.
