This past weekend, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, at the Spike Video Game Awards, for a November 11th, 2011 release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. We wonder if the 11.11.11 date has any historical or mythological significance related to the game.

Bethesda haven’t revealed anything in the way of story, setting or changes yet, but they did release an uninformative-yet-impressive CG trailer. Game director, Todd Howard, stated that Bethesda have been working on Skyrim and the technology behind it for “many years.”
