The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf Voice Actor Revealed

Following the third The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer reveal, voice actor Matthew Mercer announced he will play Ganondorf. We already had an idea the villain would return in some capacity, based on the initial trailer released back at E3 2019. The latest video offered the best look at the recurring antagonist and a peek at Mercer’s performance.

Here’s Mercer’s official announcement regarding his role as Ganondorf’s voice actor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Matthew Mercer is a familiar voice in the video game industry. He’s played characters like Mitsuru Kuroiwa in Judgment, Kanji Tatsumi in Persona 4, Yusuke Kitagawa in Persona 5, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Chrom in Fire Emblem. He also recently confirmed he will be Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Death Island.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will come to the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023. Its themed OLED Switch model will launch on April 28, 2023.
