Days before their party, Square-Enix unveiled their all new Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy DIssidia for the PSP. The teaser site only has two sentences to describe the game, “fantasy is endless” and “fantasy has no limited form”. It might be interesting to note that Dissidia is Latin for “disagree”. The quote “fantasy has no limited form” and the Latin subtitle might suggest that Final Fantasy Dissidia will disagree or stray away from Final Fantasy traditions. Another possibility is “Dissidia” is referring to the characters in the logo. The blue character could be Shiva and the red character might be Ifrit. Maybe the disagreement is between the two espers. It’s possible since Shiva has traditionally been an ice summon monster and Ifrit is fire. The only other information about Final Fantasy Dissidia is Tetsuya Nomura will be returning to do the character design for this title too.
