Studio Flare has also updated its recruitment page as it is looking for more core staff members to help develop the new game. It still needs a Lead Battle Planner, Senior Game Programmer, Art Director, 3DCG Director, Lead Animator, and Lead Effect Designer.

The studio is primarily using Unreal Engine 5 and Maya to develop the new action game for consoles. The Senior Game Programmer also needs to have experience in using C++ and Blueprints. The studio will also prioritize Lead Effect Designer applicants who have also worked with After Effects and Houdini in addition to Unreal Engine’s Niagara.

Toshimichi Mori is best known for creating the BlazBlue fighting game series at Arc System Works. He left the company in September 2022 and eventually teamed up with Toshinori Aoki to establish Studio Flare in late February 2023. It is also one of the newly emerging studios to receive funding from NetEase Games, with the other notable one being Nagoshi Studio, which was set up by the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi who formerly worked at Sega.

The new action game being produced by Toshimichi Mori at Studio Flare is still under development for consoles. Its release window and platforms are still yet to be confirmed.
