Trinity Trigger takes place in the fantasy world of Tritania, where the gods of Order and Chaos choose warriors to fight in their stead. There, Cyan, Elise, and Zantis embark on an adventure to put an end to this millenary battle and escape their grim fate.

The gameplay involves real-time combat mainly focused on the use of “Triggers.” These are small creatures that transform into weapons and change each character’s abilities. Additionally, it allows up to 3 players in optional local co-op.

Alongside the announcement, Marvelous also shared a few images of the game. In the screenshots, you can see details of the simplistic UI consisting of the mini-map, treasure counter, and each character’s life and stamina bars.

XSeed Games previously announced a “Day 1 Edition” for North America . It will feature an over 100-page softcover artbook, a two-disc soundtrack CD, and a custom box for all platforms.

The Trinity Trigger European and Australian release date is May 16, 2023. It will be available both physically and digitally for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. It is immediately available in Japan. A North American release date hasn’t been announced.
