Note: The Ultraman Final trailer and the description below contains spoilers for Ultraman Season 1 and 2.

The Ultraman Final anime shows Shinjiro in a moment of crisis. His powers are growing out of control and devastating the city. In one incident Shinjiro sees himself grown to the size of a Giant of Light (the original Ultraman), despite not wearing the Ultraman suit, and facing off against Zetton. Public opinion has turned against Shinjiro as Ultraman, and even other suit-wearers are hunting him down. Meanwhile alien forces are taking action, among them villains called Mephisto and Valcure.

The new aliens introduced for Ultraman Final are called Mephisto and Valcure. They appear to be original creations, although Mephisto’s design appears similar to that of Alien Mefilas from the classic shows. Valcure is voiced by MAO, who also voiced Iris in Fire Force, Shion in That Time I Reincarnated As A Slime, and Pecorine in Princess Connect! Re: Dive. Mephisto is voiced by Koji Ishii, who also played Fisher Tiger in One Piece, and Ba’gamnan in Final Fantasy XII. The show itself is co-directed by the pair of Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki, who also worked on Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

Ultraman Final will debut on Netflix in Spring 2023. The first two seasons are readily available. Threezero recently announced a figure based on the Ultraman Tiga suit Power Type.
