Remember the large maps in Valkyria Chronicles? The PSP sequel can’t handle them, but the development team thought of a clever solution around the problem.
In an interview with Joystiq, Sega staff explained the maps in Valkyria Chronicles 2 are split into sections with multiple paths. One route may lead to a horde of enemies, while another road might be full of traps. Sounds like a good idea. Paths with different kinds obstacles add a bit of replay value and suit different play styles.
And, in case you missed it here’s the Tokyo Game Show trailer.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is slated for January 21, 2010 in Japan. North American recruits can join the Lanseal Royal Military Academy in summer 2010.
