Where are the Octopath Traveler 2 Secondary Job License Locations

In Octopath Traveler 2 every character starts out with one job. So Osvald is the Scholar, Hikari is the Warrior, and so on. However, each character can also equip a secondary job to increase their range. You don’t get these just by someone with the role joining. Rather, you need to find guilds across the maps for them. So, here are the Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job locations for the eight basic classes in the game. As a tip, aside from the apothecary thief role, they all tend to be fairly near the character with the same class you recruited.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Apothecary Guild

Getting the extra Apothecary job license involves a bit of a hike. You need to head west of where you found Castti in Canalbrine, then south to Conning Creek. Immediately after you enter town, head to the east up the stairs. Head slightly south and enter the small building with two flower boxes to join the guild and get the license.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Cleric Guild

While it would make sense for it to be at Flamechurch Cathedral, it’s not. You need to head north across a bridge in Borderfall to a much smaller church to get the Cleric Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job license, but as a bonus it is also the location of the Prayer for Plenty EX Skill for Temenos. It’s east of where you found Temenos in Flamechurch.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Dancer Guild

Like the Apothecary job, the Dancer guild is right in a town. Head to Wellgrove, which is to the southwest of where you recruited Agnea in Cropdale. There’ll be a little house with flowers all around the doorway right after you enter town and head to the second level past the big building. (An elderly gentleman will be in front during the day.) Talk to the guildmaster, and you’ll be set.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Hunter Guild

Okay, this one took me so long to find, so hopefully this helps you out. Sometimes in locations, there will be “obscured” areas you can pass through, but it isn’t obvious unless you are right there. Head to Western Tropu’hopu Traverse, immediately north of the Beasting Village where you meet Ochette. Now, this is mostly a straightforward road with no extra paths. However, you will notice a point at which you can head north toward the Southern Nameless Village Traverse path. Don’t go there. Head as though you are, but then go south. Along these ruins is the hidden Hunter guild. Since it’s so hard to find, I created the brief video above to show how to reach it from the Western Tropu’hopu Traverse save point.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Merchant Guild

It’s more appropriate to call this a Merchant “tent,” rather than a guild. It’s in Western Crackridge Wilds, north of Orerush where Partitio joined. At the junction where you find the signpost and save point, head west over the natural rock bridge. You’ll find an emcampment as you keep heading west. The man outside the tent to the right is the location of the Octopath Traveler 2 Merchant secondary job license.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Scholar Guild

Getting the Scholar job is quite easy, as it is one of the easiest to find Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job locations. Head all the way west in Western Winterbloom Snows, then north. You’ll see the building right there. It’s also just north of Osvald’s first chapter and where you’ll recruit him.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Thief Guild

I’d say this is the second hardest to find secondary job license locations to find in Octopath Traveler 2, because it’s both hidden away and only accessible at night. Directly east of New Delsta, where you found Throne, is the town of Clockbank. (It’s a bit of a hike.) When in town, change the time of day to night. Then, head to the northern industrial area. You need to get to the main “street” that the inn is on, then head left. Go south through the sheltered area. You’ll be in an area with a small house to the left. Head up through the alley next to the small house, past the boxes. There’s a doorway there. When you go through it, you’ll find yourself at the thieves guild and able to get that secondary job license.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Warrior Guild

You’ll find the Warrior dojo in Sai. It’s one of the more obvious and easy to find guilds. Just head south when you get into down, and you’ll find it in back with a person standing in front. It’s south of where you found Hikari in Ryu.

Octopath Traveler 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available.
