Which Genshin Impact Artifact Sets Work Well for Childe

Childe, aka Tartaglia, is back again on a rerun banner in Genshin Impact, which might mean someone is looking for artifacts to build him up. While some characters have a lot of different options that work, he’s unique! There’s one specific set that is perfect for him. Yes, it means going through the Dragonspine questline so you can reach the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain to get it. But in the end, Heart of Depth is worth it.

Why is the Heart of Depth Artifact Set Best for Childe in Genshin Impact?

In Genshin Impact, Childe is a DPS-type of character. You want to make sure all of his Artifacts are doing things like increasing his attack, increasing his critical damage and rate, and boosting his Hydro damage. This means you want Heart of Depth.

First, because its base bonus for two items is it grants a 15% bonus to all Hydro damage dealt. If you get four, you get a 30% bonus to attack damage for both normal and standard attacks after using an Elemental Skill. Both of these pair perfectly with Foul Legacy: Raging Tide.

Because frankly, Childe is the archer for people who hate archers in Genshin Impact, you’re relying on Foul Legacy: Raging Tide to shift him from a ranged unit to a melee one. When he does, he’s also constantly dealing Hydro damage. The Gilded Corsage is always going to boost HP as its main boon, and the Gust of Nostalgia is always an attack-boosting piece. However, the Copper Compass and Goblet of Thundering Deep can boost attack damage percents for its main bonus. Also the Wine-Stained Tricorne can boost attack damage, critical damage percent, or critical rate percentage as its primary bonus. So the set is ideal for him.

I mean, so long as you’re willing to deal with the tediousness that is the “In the Mountains” Dragonspine World Quest.

What Else Could Work, if I Hate Visiting Dragonspine?

Honestly? Go ahead and toss Wanderer’s Troupe on him. Like if you want to use him as an archer or maybe not your full-time DPS, this basic Artifact set is fine for Childe in Genshin Impact.

The two piece set of Wanderer’s Troupe would increase his Elemental Mastery. Which works fine for him. He’ll be inflicting Hydro on lots of enemies in melee mode, and you’ll ideally have a team with lots of reactions. So that will boost damage dealt. With a four-piece set, it increases charged attack damage by 35% for archers like him.

The set is dropped by Weekly and Normal bosses, so it is incredibly easy to get. Troupe’s Dawnlight will always offer a HP bonus as its main stat, while Bard’s Arrow Feather will only feature an attack bonus for its primary. Concert’s Final Hour with an attack % increase as its main would be a good fit. Conductor’s Top Hat with a critical damage or rate main bonus should be a priority. With Wanderer’s String-Kettle, one with water damage bonus would be ideal, but attack bonus would also be fine.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Childe rerun banner is back until December 6, 2022.
