Witchbrook Update Includes Chucklefish’s Commitment to Zero-Crunch

There’s a new update on Witchbrook the magical school life sim from Chucklefish, and it included a reference to the studio’s commitment to a “zero crunch” environment. The company confirmed development is continuing on the game. It also acknowledged the length of time it is taking to bring it to life. It is then that it cited its commitment to avoiding crunch for a healthier work environment.

Chucklefish first announced the game back in March 2018. Though it did appear ahead of that time under the name “Spellbound.” Since then, the company gradually shared brief updates over the years in the form of new screenshots. In June 2022, a Steam page for it went live.

Witchbrook is in development for PCs and will be available via Steam. There’s still no release date for it yet.
