Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap. Players follow a hero who has six different forms, each with its own ability, as he attempts to undo an the curse that started his whole adventure. To help people understand what’s going into the game, Lizardcube and DotEmu have begun a developer diary series, and the first episode features Ryuichi Nishizawa, creator of the Wonder Boy series.

 

This first Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap dev diary was recorded around the time of BitSummit 4th, which was held July 9-10, 2016 in Kyoto, Japan. Nishizawa spoke with Omar Cornut and Ben Fiquet, respectively Lizardcube’s development lead and art director, about both the original Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap and the remake.
