Ys VIII Shows Off Its Improved Graphics And Framerates At Taipei Game Show 2017

Falcom got a chance to show off the new and improved version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on PS4 at Taipei Game Show 2017 this weekend.

 

The footage begins at the 26:27 mark of the video. In addition to the improved graphics for the PS4 version of the game, Falcom CEO Toshihiro Kondo says that the anticipated improved framerates (at 60fps) shows more fluid action than ever.

 

As previously reported, Ys VIII on PS4 adds a new system called “Style Change”  as well as more story element surrounding Dana. Adol’s part of the game will get a new “Control War” feature that involves teaming up with allies to take out enemies. The game will also support 4K resolution.

 

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana released in Japan July 21, 2016 for PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation 4 version will release in Japan on May 25, 2017.
