Falcom just released the demo version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on the Japanese PlayStation Store. Here’s a look at some gameplay footage from the demo.

The demo lets you check out the Coral Forest dungeon, the first of many that Adol takes on in Ys VIII. For those of you looking for more of a challenge, the demo features the “Inferno” difficulty mode.

While the demo features PlayStation 4 Pro support, it doesn’t have carry over save data for the full release of the game, so be sure to keep that in mind if you’re looking to check it out. You can get the demo on the Japanese PlayStation Store [1.3GB].

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana releases in Japan on May 24 for PlayStation 4. The PlayStation Vita version is currently available in Japan. The game is headed Westward in Fall 2017 for PS4, PS Vita, and PC.
