Zenless Zone Zero New Eridu News Hints at Possible Enemies

Every once in a while, HoYoVerse shares “in-world” promotional materials to help people understand what’s going on in Zenless Zone Zero. The most recent “Ridu Newsletter” for New Eridu is live. While a lot of it is designed to be flavor text to show what movies are happening or a recycling initiative, some of it hints at what can expect in the game. This latest one hints at some of the more human enemies people might face in addition to the Ethereal ones in the Hollows.

In Zenless Zone Zero, Hollows are the disasters that can come up in New Eridu. These are the areas where suddenly Ethereal monsters appear and that section can be basically off-limits unless a professional capable of surviving goes in it. This newsletter noted that there can be fights between factions of people. In this case, it mentions gangs fighting in the area. In the past, HoYoVerse mentioned humanoid and mechanical enemies. It also noted different elements will be present, such as characters able to use fire.

It’s been quite some time since we’ve actually seen the game. HoYoVerse last offered a detailed look at the action game at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show. That involved an actual 18 minute look at gameplay footage. In the meantime, the developer instead focused on introducing different characters.

Zenless Zone Zero is in development for PCs and mobile devices.
