"World of Warcraft is a philosophy. It’s preaching that life is nothing but a bunch of work for pointless trinkets, just so you can survive and interact with other people, all of whom are frauds anyway who don’t give a damn about what you say. And it doesn’t end until you decide to stop playing."

Interesting no? This is the reason I quit WoW a little less than 6 weeks ago after playing for close to 20 months straight (beta included).

I find Animal Crossing enjoyable, calming, and a much more peaceful place to be.

I agree with him. Where he and I differ, however, is that he sees those points as negatives while I see them as positives.

To me, 'fun' is manifested through a state of mind and not by a certain action. At least that's the bottom of the foodchain of 'fun'. Animal Crossing 'emulates' that very well and draws fun out of me for no reason.

Animal Crossing should be praised for achieving that, surely. Why is that a criticism?!
