Dragon Ball Z + Street Fighter II makes Super DBZ

Most Dragon Ball Z games are fighting games since the series fits the genre so well. So how does Super DBZ differentiate itself from Budokai Tenkaichi? It’s backed by some of the creators of Street Fighter II. Instead of being a pick up and ki wave blasting game, Super DBZ appeals to the hardcore fighting crowd. The game’s fighting system is more technical, so players will have to remember combos to pull off explosive attacks. The wait to play as Mecha Frieza isn’t long, Super DBZ is coming to Japan in June and to North America in July. Check below for more screenshots of Super DBZ.

If it’s being backed by some of the creators of Street Fighter II, it might be worth playing!

That’s what I was thinking. It’s graphics are pretty neat for a 3d fighter too in my opinion.

Let’s hope that this “deep system” isn’t just a rumor. I would like to see a good dbz fighter with a deep system, lotsa combos, special technics, not another “let’s milk them all” title :(
