Kenshin comes to the Playstation 2

By Spencer . May 31, 2006 . 10:40am

Banpresto (Super Robot Wars series) has a new Kenshin game in the works. The game is entitled Rurouni Kenshin: Enjou! Kyoto Rinne and it is a 3D action game where players get a chance to play as Kenshin, Sanosuke and Hajime. This is the first Kenshin game since Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenyaku Romantan: Juuyuushi Inbou Hen released for the Playstation in 1997 by SCEI (Sony Computer Entertainment). Check below for more screenshots of the game and we’ll bring you more details as we get closer to the release this fall.

Chris Says:

I wonder how far into the anime it will get?

boleto Says:

^ idk, but its very exciting

EvilGamerX Says:

I saw a 2 page advertisement for this in the new VJump. I should scan that along with a lot of other stuff. But yes, I wonder if this game will come to America. The last Kenshin game I played though was for the original PlayStation and that sucked.

RC Says:

yay! finally a kenshin game! or.. hopefully one that’s good anyways

Symphony Says:

Hopefully they port it. Hopefully they cover the manga story line rather than the anime, I don’t want to play a game thats 1/3 made of filler. Then again if it’s entirely filler I’ll play it just for the experience, funny how that works.

Symphony Says:

Errr… not port; translate.

doppelganger Says:

so far looks pretty awesome.

i’d be more than down for some multiplayer kenshin goodness though.

bignerd Says:

hmm, maybe they’re trying to bring back the popularity of kenshin, then bam! a kenshin wii game. just a thought

Symphony Says:

Kenshin Wii game would be great. Too bad something like a Kenshin Wii MMO would be a bit much to hope for lol.

Sean Says:

Is Ruruni Kenshin even that popular anymore?

Besides, it’s Banpresto so it’ll probably suck.

Jedibound Says:

BattousaiKenshin Says:

BattousaiKenshin Says:

arg… now i cant stop thinking about it >.> i want to play it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!! T_T

Tsumi Battosai Says:

to Symphony, the game will not have the filler arc. The title clearly has the name Kyoto in it. So using ones shingan will tell you that it either is all kyoto or will end in kyoto. BTW, heres the homepage for the game. Your all welcome. http://www.banpresto-game.com/rurouni/main.html

Gurçat Says:

Thank you for the Site.

hito Says:

there’s a video of the game where he’s fighting jin’e. so maybe they let you play parts of the tokyo arc, with jin’e and the oniwabanshu.. maybe.

Richard Says:

Will this game be coming to america?

iitachi Says:

I have seen the game and their is only 4 characters. I would like 2 know if their is more playble characters 2 play as.
