Lost version of Silent Hill found on eBay

By Spencer . May 31, 2006 . 3:04pm

Apparently there is an alternate version of Silent Hill that got into the hands of some video game press members in the land down under. The early build of the game is different from the final US version and the PAL release, which is differs slightly from the US release. This preview build has a different intro video, alternate item placement and “child like monsters”. Someone who has this beta is selling the game on eBay.

I dunno if this is real or not if it is it could be really rare

Yuki~Summer Ver.~ Says:

Huh? Those “child-like monsters” were in the original too. At least, the American version. I’m a big Silent Hill fan (well, not the movie).

Sounds like a ripoff to me, whether it is slightly different or not.

boleto Says:

hmm, i think its worth the price for the hardcore fans

Jakanden Says:

Bah - while I am a hardcore SH fan (Including the movie save for the ending), I wouldn’t pay that much.

The flip side is that most rare carts go for FAR more than this.

EvilGamerX Says:

Yea… I wouldn’t pay that much for any game. Sounds interesting though.

tg Says:

Approximately US $104.76

If its legit.not too bad if youre a collecter of that kind of stuff.

Somebody burn it so I can play too. ;)

FRX Says:

I loves me some Silent Hill, but I wouldn’t pay that much for just a beta.

The version details are correct, a friend of mine had a u.s bootleg of the game before it was released and had the child monsters instead of the clawed ones.Guess the early bootlegs were ripped from that build. my friend died a few years ago so that bootleg is probably lost.
