Super Pirate Mario

If imitation is a form of flattery Mario’s creatory, Shiguero Miyamoto, should be proud. Everyone loves Mario, especially low budget video game pirates who rip sprites from NES Super Mario games and plaster them on another game. It’s a simple tactic that can take an obscure game like MC Kids and make it to a high selling game. Below we’ve got some screenshots of Mario making appearances in other NES games.

First up is MC Kids. Arguably, a playable advertisement for McDonalds, MC Kids has Mic and Mac traverse McDonald land to capture the Hambugerler. Honestly, the game isn’t too bad. For a Nintendo title there are some innovative block puzzles where you’ll explore levels upside down and multiple paths. Since it is a platformer maybe Mario feels right at home in MC Mario.

It looks like in his spare time Mario’s picked up some martial arts skills for this platformer or has he? This game is actually a sprite rip of Jackie Chan’s Action Kung Fu. The NES game is a decent action title where you can pick up special attacks by collecting magical orbs.

While Tiny Toon Adventures was broadcasted around the world, someone thought putting Mario in the same game might make it sell better. So the result looks like the same game, except Mario stars instead of Buster Bunny. Look down at the partner icon and notice that Plucky Duck is still in the Mario-ized version.

Sure Hudson and Nintendo have a great relationship, they’ve been using the Mario license to make Mario Party games almost every year. However, this rip off of Luigi starring on Adventure Island is another pirate cart.

I’ll leave it up to you guys to figure out what NES game “Super Mario 14” came from. Also notice on the “copyright” section, the game was made in 1993 by Mario’s nemesis Wario.

Super Mario 14 is hacked Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3 game. Its quite glitchy, and I somehow got his head glich from the original game every now and then, its like wtf what is that big head doing there. Theres also other hacked Super Mario like Super Mario 16, idk if they filled in all the other ones.
