Manga has been steadily picking up in North America. On the week ending with May 28th, 2006 Viz Media snagged all ten spots of the graphic novel sales chart with manga titles. Naruto led the pack with six volumes of the manga series on the list. Executive Vice President John Easum said, “It’s not a stretch to say that NARUTO has become the most popular anime and manga property in North America and the favorable placement of six volumes of the series in the Bookscan list validates that.” Bleach is also rising and is likely to top the charts when the anime series starts playing on adult swim later this fall. Here’s the complete list:

.) NARUTO, Volume 10

.) RUROUNI KENSHIN, Volume 27

.) NARUTO, Volume 9

.) BLEACH, Volume 13

.) FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, Volume 7

.) NARUTO, Volume 1

.) NARUTO, Volume 8

.) NARUTO, Volume 2

.) DEATH NOTE, Volume 5

.) NARUTO, Volume 7
