I'm not so sure how likely it is to be true. I just hope they don't throw us back into the actual series without a transition, "Naruto you did a good job protecting some entirely pointless thing/person while teaching them a lesson about their inability to put trust in others/ stick up for themselves. By the way we found out where Sasuke is." Personally, I wouldn't be as put out by the filler if it weren't for the fact that they haven't touched "Kakashi Gaiden" in the last 60 episodes of filler.
