New Super Mario Bros. DS gear

So you didn’t get a DS Lite last week and have the bulkier gray DS system. At least you can show it off in style with a New Super Brothers DS carrying case that holds the system and a couple of games (pictured on the left). To go with this you can get a Mario themed game card case to pack your entire DS library in a single pouch (pictured on the right).

I held one of the game card cases just the other day (in Taipei). It looks a lot better on the pictures than they really are.

The fabric of the case itself has a very cheap look and feel to it, remember the really cheap wallet thing you had as a kid, the one with the turtles on it? Or the pencil case with the stuck zipper?

The Mario picture is pretty much the “iron-on” kind, it’s actually a bit shinier than the case itself. Pretty sucky if you ask me.

It holds 16 games though, so that’s a lot better than most offerings. But still, you don’t actually want to be seen with what looks like a $1 toystore marbles bag.

Instead, consider getting one of these (there are different kinds, they have cases for DS Lite, Game boy Micro, etc.):

I have one for my DS. It has a side pocket, which right now holds 10 DS games and two GBA cartridges. It also comes with an extra little bag for other stuff like the charger. I have one for my Game boy Micro as well, superb. They look and feel like quality items. The mesh is light, protective, and a bit bulky, but looks good.
