AtomExpensive Mario artwork sells on eBay
What hardcore Nintendo fan wouldn’t want to have a picture of Super Mario Brothers hanging on their wall? One artist who specializes in making pop culture reprints created a 39” by 39” acrylic painting of the box art from the NES version of Super Mario Brothers. While the picture is cool it’s also pricey, 150.00 GBP ($276). That is greater than the price of two DS Lites, nearly half the price of a PS3 and about the same price as 30 stuffed Mario’s according to Amazon. If you’re interested here’s the eBay link.

sweet — I was actually planning on doing something very similar. I’ve already re-created that entire box art in Macromedia Freehand. I was going to either make a print of it or paint it.

That’s cool and everything, but the Mario Brothers cartridge’s art just doesn’t do it for me unless it has a pizza stain on it from 1988.
