Cloud, an example for emotional video games

By Spencer . July 3, 2006 . 9:55am

Cloud is an innovative concept game like Rez or Katamari Damacy. The game was designed at USC as a student project, which gave the developers the freedom to create a new type of game. Instead of focusing on competition, Cloud is a game where you fly in the sky collecting clouds. The producer, Jenova Chen, wanted “to have player feel relax and daydream-like in the game rather than the traditional goal oriented design.” Our robot friends over at Destructoid spoke to Jenova about his work, the industry and the success of the project.
