Online battles in Star Fox Command

The Lylat system is in jeopardy again and it’s up to Fox McCloud of Star Fox fame to step to save the universe once more. As usual Fox isn’t without his allies. Making a return from Star Fox Adventures is Krystal (Fox’s sweetheart), Falco, Slippy and Pepper. Fox’s doppledanger like arch rivals, Star Wolf’s crew, also are going to make an appearance in Star Fox Command for the DS. Like the other Star Fox games, Command is a 3D shooting game. New elements based around the DS’s unique hardware have players draw paths that they’ll fly on. After choosing a path for yourself and your teammates you will be able to fight or avoid combat to your liking as you progress towards bases. The part that is particularly exciting about Star Fox Command is online battles. Star Fox Command supports local wireless dogfights for eight players and four player battles via Nintendo Wi-Fi. The game is coming out soon too, July 27th in Japan and August 28th in North America. Check below for some concept art of Fox McCloud and his team.
