Dirge of Cerberus gets sped up for the US

Vincent’s gun cross RPG spin off game didn’t exactly live up to the standards of action gamers or FPS fans when it came out in Japan. Instead of moving swiftly like he did in Advent Children Vincent was sluggish and could barely dodge bullets in the Japanese release of Dirge of Cerberus. Also the camera switched into a Resident Evil 4 behind the shoulder style every time Vincent pulled out his guns. Some of these problems, namely the speed have been fixed for the North American release. We had a chance to play an updated build at Comic Con and the results are looking good. Vincent actually runs now and the game has changed from a hybrid FPS to a 3D action game. The third person camera makes the game more fluid instead of the over the shoulder camera which occludes some of the Deep Grand shooters. Also the game will include some of the online content, offline for the North American version.

I have been waiting for this game for so long. If it sucks…. that will just be disappointing.

I’m keeping the faith though.
