Sega Genesis Collection coming to PS2 and PSP

In a surprise announcement from Sega, they announced that they are bringing a compilation of over thirty classic Genesis games such as Alex Kidd, Altered Beast (pictured), Comix Zone, Phantasy Star, Golden Axe and of course Sonic the Hedgehog to the PS2 and PSP. Also on the disc are extras like interviews with the developers. While both versions include pretty much the same games, the PSP has the added bonus of wireless play while the PS2 version has a few extra games like Zaxxon. View the list of the games below.

Of course there are some games we wish were on Sega’s Classic Collection like the Ooze, Virtua Racing, Shining Force, Afterburner, Beyond the Oasis, Dynamite Headdy and Gunstar Heroes. Maybe Sega Classic Collection 2 is already in the works…

Wow…guess I should go throw out my PGen Sega Genesis emu that has EVERY Genesis release ever now that Sega has blessedus with***gasp***30 Genesis games on one disc! Please.
