Best DS Lite carrying case ever? A sock

By Spencer . August 18, 2006 . 8:52am

Why bother getting a case that actually holds your DS Lite and a couple of games when you can get a “Lite Slipon Socks” case from Takara Tomy. As you can see below the case snugly covers the DS Lite. Right now these are only sold in Japan for 735 yen ($6.35) and it’s unlikely these will come over to North America.

Or you could just use an ankle sock.

We sell something just like that at GAME in the uk where I work. It’s an own brand GAME version and not the Nintendo one that we sell but its the same thing as far as I can tell

I bought two of these in Japan last week. One thing not neat about them is that if you have a wrist strap attached to your DS Lite (which are included with Japanese Domestic Model DS Lites) then the fit of these things is uncomfortably tight where you find youself forcing the DS Lite into it.

I use a sock from Game as well and it’s great. Quick and easy to use and it is tiny in your pocket when you don’t have the DS in it. Recommended.

this looks like a cool idea, I want one of these! but….. I won´t go to japan, I´m only 12 T_T and I´m all the way in mexico so I will need lots of money to go there and go there just for a case? it would b stupid!
