Summer time adventure in Playstation 3 land

Sony Computer Entertainment unveiled a new PS3 title, Boku no Natsuyasumi (My Summer Vacation). The game is classified as an adventure game where you can freely explore a country town. Boku no Natsuyasumi has an interesting concept of trying to bring people back to their carefree childhood days. Players can sit back and fish, search for insects and watch the fireworks at night. The game is still an early work in progress, but it could have the potential to bring younger gamers into the Playstation demographic.

just a lame copy of animal crossing/ harvest moon!

HEADMASTER Says:

Don’t leave stupid comments unless you have any proof of that. Seems it will bring back some elements from harvest moon and animal crossing though.

Behold the power of the PS3 :P

I don’t know, it looks an awful lot like Animal Crossing. Sounds like Harvest Crossing, actually. We’ll see.

theres already a couple of these for the ps2 tho(I think)

So I dont know if the “rip-off” angle, works.

Noun Says:

Actually, this series is on the PSOne, PS2, and PSP and it pre-dates the Doubutsu no Mori / Animal Crossing series.

gexecuter Says:

Randall Fitzgerald Says:

If it’s fun, who gives a damn what it rips off? If you want to be a cynic why not just start pointing out that every FPS ever is just a Doom ripoff, and that Doom is just a first person ripoff of sidescrollers like Blackthrone and Duke Nukem, and then point out that they’re just ripping off Pitfall, and then you can bring up how it totally ripped off Adventure, which was basically just Pong where you controlled the ball, and how Pong ripped off Ralph Baer’s paddle ball game, which ripped off table tennis, which ripped off real tennis, which ripped off… I dunno… some rock throwing game.

God of War uses a very similar formula to Devil May Cry, but they’re both on Sony platforms so no one jumps to call it a ripoff. Just enjoy the damn games. Seriously. What’s the point of “computer entertainment” if you just bitch about who took what from where. A good idea is a good idea, regardless of who did it first. Henry Ford invented the car, so should no one ever try making one? Wait, that seems ridiculous. Well, alright, there’s your barometer.
