Peter Jackson teams up with Bungie to make a new game

He’s not just working on the Halo movie, he is going to be leading the direction of the franchise. Peter Jackson and screenwriter Fran Walsh’s (she did the screenplay for the Lord of the Rings series) first project in the video game world is working with Bungie to create the next part of the Halo universe. After finishing up work on Halo, Jackson is going to make an entirely new franchise for the Xbox 360.

In related Halo news, Microsoft announced a Halo RTS called “Halo Wars”.  Ensemble Studios who makes the Age of Empires series is handling the development of this title. Ahh… that’s the reason that Microsoft ordered a cease and desist of Halogen, a fan made Command and Conquer: Generals mod.
