The winners of the 2006 World Cyber Games

The final results for the World Cyber Games are in and South Korea took the top prize. Sweeping Starcraft: Brood War and finishing first in WarHammer 40,000 got them the top spot. Russia grabbed a gold and a silver for Need for Speed Most Wanted, which earned them second place. Meanwhile Germany got third place for winning FIFA 2006 and snagging an extra bronze medal in WarHammer 40K. The results for all of the countries are tallied in this graph and the winners of each event are announced past the break.

    I was at the CS final and it was _fantastic_. Tension was palpable and the (Italian) commentators were spot-on and CS players themselves. What a pity the organization was so awful for the general public...
