The Playstation 3 is getting its own library of retro games from the PS1 catalog. You can download PS1 games and play them directly on the console or transfer them to your PSP for portable play. Every month about ten titles are going to be released and here is the first set of games:

Biohazard: Directors Cut

Konami Antiques: MSX Collection Volume 1

Konami Antiques: MSX Collection Volume 2

Arc of the Lad

Jumping Flash

Minna no Golf 2 (Hot Shots Golf 2)

Silent Bomber

Tekken 2

Mister Driller

I had read somewhere that the PS1 games will only be playable on the PSP at launch. A future firmware update would be necessary to allow the PS3 console to play the PS1 games.

arc of the lad? jumping flash? mister driller???????? why the hell are they putting games that nobody has ever heard of for the first set release instead of putting on popular games like final fantasy 7 and metalgear solid?

Kurt Says:

Hey, Jumping Flash is pretty rad. So is Silent Bomber.

I’m guessing this is only the Japanese list. It’d be too awesome to get the MSX games in America.
