i prefer the US one better. the Japan, in sales, would not sell for anything, poeple would take one look and think it was a crappy version of an older game. The US has value and actually shows u the poeple ur going to use and shows just by the front cover that the story lines are based on what u see fro mthe cover

I prefer the Japanese one, no contest. Simple and elegant. The “collage of heads” on the US box is ridiculous and unnecessary.

To be honest, it’s always the plain (or shiny) stuff that stand out to me in a shop shelf. There’s little in the way of it so that’s why my eyes usually veer off into the direction of the plain box.

I prefer the Japanese style. It leaves more to the imagination, and for me, generates more excitement. The design is clean and simple, but at the same time, I am awestruck by it. The US design has too much clutter, IMHO.

You guys arent thinking it thru.Yes the Japanese logo looks nice with its simple style.But if you saw it in a display stand next to lots of other games,it would look pretty damn underwhelming.

US Version.Easy.

Put down one more vote for the Japanese box art. Then again I suppose that I have always liked the plain FF logos that they come up with for each installment, so it’s not too suprising.

I prefer the simple style of the japanese box art, the u.s version is way to colorful, its almost like they intend to only sell it to 5 year olds.

Sqaure-Enix of America is screwing us, mang! I swear they are. The way I see it, they think us Americans need pictures of characters to sell us on a game, even if it is Final Fantasy.

I much prefer the approach of the majority of Japanese boxarts.
