Amber Hood on her role in Blood+

Around the time that more details on the live action Blood: the Last Vampire movie surfaced Cartoon Network announced that they would be airing the 50 episode anime series on adult swim. Amber Hood who played Princess �clair in La Pucelle Tactics is voicing Kaori (pictured below), Saya’s friend. “I can describe Kaori as ‘happy go lucky,’ sweet, athletic, and incredibly dedicated to her best friend who is always troubled. Kaori is always trying to protect her best friends. At the same time, she is kept at arms length because of the secrets that are kept from her through out the series. Ultimately she doesn’t really care about the secrets, she just wants to be there for her friends. She is sensitive and strong willed at the same time.”

 

While the announcement on Blood+’s release was only earlier this month work on the series is quickly moving forward, “The series is progressing yes, I have done 4 episodes so far. I am not sure what the future holds for Kaori and if she is in any other episodes at this point.” There is no current release date for Blood+ and adult swim already has Trinity Blood, another vampire themed anime running on Saturday nights. So it might be awhile until the world sees her work and the show. “I hope when it debuts it is a hit! I like the darkness in it, I like the mystery, I like animation that can challenge the viewer.”
