And knowing the game companies, they'll probably use the lens from a $30 Wallyworld DVD player and jack the price up $100. When will console manufacturers learn to concentrate on the GAME part of the console and quit adding extraneous crap that maybe 5% of the customers will use regularly. I'd like to know how much the price of the PS3 increased because they put a useless BluRay player on it instead of just a normal lens. So, you would have to have a differently designed drive to run Gamecube, DVD, and Wii discs. The DVD function is probably all that has been light-shed at the moment, but who knows what other stuff they'll do. Wii Lite? I wish they could follow through with stuff, I blame Perrin Kaplan. I don't care though, I already have 5 DVD players in my house (including computers, ps2, etc.), so this really doesn't blow me away.
