The same company that brings us quality programming lsuch as Laguna Beach and TRL is teaming up with Nexon. MTV is going to provide marketing support for Maple Story’s North American debut in 2007. Ads will appear on MTV networks and Comedy Central. Their relationship goes beyond Maple Story, MTV will continue to promote other Nexon games in the future. MTV is getting really serious about the gaming industry. First they buy out Gametrailers, then they start having video game shows on the network and now they’re going to have influence in MMO games. What’s next the Real World: Maple Story?

Let’s not forget that Viacom purchased Xfire… Which spawned some interesting MTV content recently, but I still worry for Xfire.
