Watch: The start of Blue Dragon

This week is a big week for the Xbox 360 in Japan. Blue Dragon is coming out on December 7 (Thursday) and the world is about to see if Mistwalker’s title will expand the 360’s audience. Wow does anyone else think that really strange english woman’s voice going “item.” or ‘nothing” would get annoying? I’d probably have to pull my hair out if I had to listen to that over and over again.

    Still, the game looks awsome.

I think the voice would be a little unnerving, but not nearly so bad as the lingering feeling that all boss battles will consist of nearly two hours of stare-downs between the heroes and villans, followed by a thirty second fight (we are talking Toriyama, after all), only to be concluded by purchasing the remainder of the battle for 400 Market Place Points.

Seriously, though, I’m pretty amped about this game.

The english woman’s voice scares me presonally… If it had a bit more personallity to it maybe it’d be better… like a sexy personallity like the one in UT2004… “Heeeeead shot!”

Personally I think it would have been cooler if it was the character that’s picking up the item to say something ‘cheesy’ like, ‘This will come in handy!’, ‘Cool..’ or something to that effect.
