Persona 3 extended 30 hours with a new chapter

By Spencer . December 11, 2006 . 7:43am

On April 19, 2007, Atlus is releasing Persona 3 Fes in Japan. In addition to the main game there is a new “Aegis Chapter” that takes place after the ending of the original game. The bonus episode is said to contain an additional 30 hours of gameplay. Since Persona 3 is already out in Japan, Persona 3 Fes is being released as a stand alone append disc that required Persona 3 to play and a complete package for first time Persona 3 players. On Atlus USA’s homepage Persona 3 is announced for June 2007, which is after the release of Persona 3 Fes. Could we see Persona 3 Fes instead of Persona 3 this summer? That would explain why the release date was pushed back a few months…

I hope we get this version. I’ve always been a fan of the Persona series, and I liked Persona 2 quite a bit. Hopefully they have something similar to the gossip system included in this one. Thank goodness for Atlus bringing some old school RPG love to us “old timers”.
