Watch: Disgaea anime trailer in English

On January 9, 2007 Geneon is releasing the first disc of the Disgaea anime series. Oriental Light and Magic based the anime series off of Laharl’s adventures in the first game. There are some changes from Nippon Ichi’s plot line such as Maharl, a girl who is supposedly Laharl’s sister who is in the anime. Originally she was supposed to be in Disgaea, but she was cut from the game. Below is a clip of the North American release with the English voice actors. What do you think of it?

    They seemed to do a rather good job of maintaining the spirit of the game. Keeping the same voice actors was a good idea too.

    Wow, that’s obviously professional work. They’ve managed to do a pretty good job of creating the lines, and I think they’ve definitely chosen the right people for the characters.

She sounds like a irritating B*TCH!!..Prinnie raid?!..wtf…what kind of stupid attack name is that?!..Its Papaya paya paparisku!!!…omg…Flonne sounds like a really stupid girly blond that came straight out of the horrible sailormoon dub!!!..Celestia?!..WTF..Celestia?!…Its heaven you dumb dubbers…and who the f*ck does Laharl’s voice?!!..Its all childish and stupid..B(…my favorite character…RUINED..I’m thank all things good that I watched the Japanese original anime first…instead of the American game or anime…or else I would never notice that in reality they are MUCH better!!…huh…They could have set english text in the game…instead of these voices…-_-

    In the japanese version you could think Laharls voice was done by a guy….but in this english crap….NOOO….they sond like 3 annoying valley girls….and doesnt that sound AWFUL, HORRIFIING….biggest piece of junk….but hey…they can ruin the text as much as they like, cause they can NEVER take away Laharl’s POWER…..All hail for tha KING!!!!
