AtomBleach Wii Gameplay footage: Ichigo vs. Kenpachi and Orihime vs. Uryu
In Bleach Wii you play the game in nunchuck style where the analog stick moves your character around and the remote mimics sword slashes. There are three basic kinds of actions you can emulate with the Wii remote a horizontal slice, a vertical chop and a thrust attack. Some of the earlier techniques are the “rapid poke” where you keep thrusting the remote or the “infinite chop” where you swing the remote up and down. Waving around the remote is the new form of button mashing in Bleach Wii, but there is a system set up to prevent you from flailing arm victories. See the green gauge below the yellow life bar? That’s the soul power gauge. Every time you make a slash the gauge loses a little energy and after about three seconds of rapid slashing it bottoms out. The sword mechanics fit Ichigo since he uses a sword and his control scheme is fairly intuitive. For instance the getsuga tensho can be done by holding “B” and doing a vertical slash, similar to how Ichigo would execute the getsuga tensho. Ichigo is natural, Orihime not so much. Since Orihime doesn’t use a sword she attacks with punches. Thrusting does jabs and swinging the remote upwards does an uppercut. Since Orihime can Santen Kesshun shield, I thought filming a match against Uryu who uses ranged attacks would be neat to watch. When Orihime uses the Santen Kesshun she can deflect Uryu’s arrows.

Orihime needs better boobs physics. After all, it’s next gen and all of that even if it is the Wii.

You do Byakuya’s senbonzakura by holding the B button and slashing down.

It does look interresting, but I’m concerned about the game itself. The controls sound rather simple IMHO…
btw. How come that Ichigo can actually hurt Kenpachi Zaraki? ;-)

sounds like yoruichi’s the announcer. it also seems like they’ve simplified the game quite a bit… but unlike naruto GNT, it doesn’t seem to be for the better…

How the hell does Uryuu, a strong Quincy, get owned by a frikken cheap girl who can’t fight for her life? Face it, that shield thing is CHEAP. Maybe the player wasn’t trying or something…

i have to agree with ken. MORE VIDS!!!!! i saw kon. thats crazy. can u do a vid bout him and………rukia perhaps? that would be sweet. and i think u can be that one dude fron squad 4. can u do like a vid about kon and the guy from squad 4?

Kon isn’t in this game. What you saw was the random select icon which just uses Kon for the picture instead of a question mark.

Why does Orihime run like a complete retard? I really wished, it being on wii, you had loads more control over the swords like Red Steel… Dissapointment? I think so. When will they make a Bleach, Naruto or any shonen jump game with as much credit as DBZ Tenkaichi?

does the wii freeloader actually come out June 30th? Cuz I really need to get bleach wii and naruto gekitou ninja taisen EX in august, even if i have to import a japanese wii, but i don’t wanna waste the money if a freeloader comes out soon.

dbz tankaichi was way worse than budakai 2 and 3 everyone had the same attack
