At the beginning of the game the dungeons are short 5 floors and 10 floors. I hear the later dungeons are 40+ floors so Izuna can get pretty long. However you have such limited item space you're always leaving and restarting dungeons again.

Oh, woe is me. It appears to be my fate to remark on this game each and every time I see yet ANOTHER blog post about it.

Izuna is not just a “dungeon crawl”. The precise term for it is “roguelike.” That is, it is the same kind of game as are Nethack, Angband, ADOM and Rogue. And the Fushigi no Dungeon series, while we’re on the subject.

These are not obscure games either, especially not Nethack, and Rogue was, once upon a time, obsessed over by a horde of college students. Yet I have yet to see even the first non-me person put the proper name to it. Maybe I’m just obsessing, I don’t know….

I'm sorry, do we know you?

Will this be more like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon where there are a series of small under 10 floor dungeons, or will it have a crazy dungeon that you'll never get out of, like Nethack?

It's refreshing to see an actually difficult game. As most RPGs released lately have been terribly easy.
